I adore baking. I spent a great deal of my childhood living at my grandparents, and then living down the street from them. My grandmother, who is my role model, hero, and favorite person on the entire planet, is a wonderful baker. She is a great cook too, but where we really bonded was over flour, sugar, vanilla, and butter. We’ve been baking together for years, and there are a lot of traditional family recipes I can’t wait to share with you all. I love trying new recipes too though, and so you’ll find a lot of that here. I primarily love to make rich and decadent desserts and comfort foods – you may not find anything too fancy and complicated here. I like to just keep ingredients relatively basic and easy-to-find, but super delicious.
Over the years, as my love for fitness grew, I’ve found myself still loving to bake and wanting to make delicious treats, but cleaning them up a bit so they’re healthier and more nutritious. You’ll find a lot of healthier recipes on my blog too – they still look and taste great, but usually I’ve made a lot of substitutions like using oat flour, applesauce, egg whites, greek yogurt, and other healthier ingredients instead of regular flour, vegetable oil, whole eggs, sour cream and other ingredients.
Stick around and I hope you’ll see something you like, fellow baker friends!
