Peanut Butter Banana Brownies

Moist and dense Peanut Butter Banana Brownies that are a mile-high. An ultra-thick brownie calls for an ultra-thick layer of frosting, so these Peanut Butter Banana Brownies have a generous slathering of peanut butter frosting on top to match!

Ingredients

For banana brownies:

  • 1 box brownie mix I like Betty Crocker Original Supreme w/ Hershey's syrup
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/4 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 whole egg + 1 yolk
  • 2 large bananas mashed

For peanut butter frosting:

  • 3/4 c. butter softened
  • 1 c. creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp. cream or milk

Instructions

For banana brownies:

  • In a large bowl, combine brownie mix, water, vegetable oil, eggs, and mashed banana.
  • Stir until blended.
  • Spread batter into a greased 8x8-inch pan.
  • Bake at 325°F for 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  • Cool completely on a wire rack.

For peanut butter frosting:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine butter, peanut butter, vanilla, powdered sugar, and milk.
  • Beat until light and fluffy, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Spread or pipe the frosting over the cooled brownies.
  • Cut and serve.
