Slow-Cooker Maple Apple Pork Roast

Ingredients

  • 1 large yellow onion chopped
  • 2 large apples sliced in 8-10 wedges
  • 1 - 4-5 lb. pork shoulder roast
  • 3/4 c. pure maple syrup
  • 3 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 c. chicken broth
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika

Instructions

  • Turn the slow-cooker to low.
  • Place half the onion and apples into the bottom of the slow-cooker.
  • Add the pork roast.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, chicken broth, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Pour over the pork roast.
  • Add remaining onion and apples to the top of the slow-cooker.
  • Cook for at least 4 hours, or until pork is very tender.
