Ingredients
2lbs.lean ground chickenturkey, or pork (we mostly use chicken)
2tbsp.chopped fresh sage leaves
2tbsp.chopped fresh thymeremove pods and leaves from stem first, discard stems, then chop the remaining pods and leaves
2tbsp.fennel seed
1tsp.salt
1/2tsp.pepper
1/4c.maple syrup
2tbsp.butter or olive oildivided
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine meat, sage, thyme, fennel seed, salt, pepper, and maple syrup.
Stir until blended.
Shape into 3-inch patties, about 1/2-inch thick.
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tbsp. butter.
Add patties to the pan, cook for about 3 minutes on each side, or until crispy and brown, and repeat with remaining patties.
